Which Stocks Do Mutual Funds in India Hold the Most?

Every month, SEBI requires all mutual funds to disclose their complete portfolio holdings. This tool aggregates those disclosures across all active equity mutual fund schemes and ranks the most held stocks by category. You can also search any specific stock to see which funds hold it, or explore all mutual funds on RightAdvise.

How Do You Use This Top Stocks Tool?

Select a fund category from the left panel — Large Cap, Mid Cap, Small Cap, Flexi Cap, ELSS or any other equity category. The table updates to show the top stocks held by all active funds in that category, sorted by total value invested across all funds.

Use the Sort By control to switch between Total Value, Most Funds Holding, and Highest Avg Weight. The Min Funds filter lets you focus on stocks held by multiple funds — useful for finding high-conviction consensus picks.

What Do the Columns in This Table Mean?

Total Value (Rs Cr) — Combined market value of this stock held across all funds in the selected category.

Funds Holding — How many active funds in the category own this stock. Higher means more consensus conviction.

% of Funds — Percentage of funds in the category holding this stock. Green means majority hold it.

Avg Weight — Average portfolio allocation to this stock across all funds that hold it.

Max Weight — Highest allocation by any single fund. Shows where one fund has very high conviction.

Why Are Index Funds and ETFs Excluded?

Only active funds are shown. Index funds and ETFs are excluded because they mechanically track benchmarks — not fund manager conviction. This tool shows where active managers are genuinely placing their bets.

Frequently Asked Questions About Mutual Fund Stock Holdings?

How often is this data updated?

Monthly, as AMCs publish their SEBI-mandated portfolio disclosures. Most AMCs publish between the 5th and 10th of each month.

Why does the same stock appear differently across categories?

Each category has different funds with different mandates. A stock held by 15 of 20 Small Cap funds shows 75% penetration there but may only appear in 3 of 40 Large Cap funds — same stock, very different institutional conviction by category.

Is this investment advice?

No. This tool shows factual data from official AMFI disclosures for research purposes only. Please consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser before making investment decisions.

Disclaimer: Portfolio data sourced from official AMFI monthly disclosures. Active funds only — index funds and ETFs excluded. This is not investment advice.
