Which Sectors Are Mutual Funds Investing in — May 2026?

Every month, over 1,100 Indian mutual fund schemes are legally required to disclose their complete portfolio — every stock they hold, how much, and at what weight. RightAdvise compiles this data across 60+ sectors to give you one powerful answer: which stocks in any sector do professional fund managers trust the most? Select any sector from the dropdown above or click a popular sector button to instantly see the top stocks ranked by the number of funds holding them.

What is "Stock by Sector" and why does it matter?

Most investors either look at a single fund's portfolio or search for a specific stock. Very few ask the more powerful question: across an entire sector, which stocks are fund managers collectively betting on? That is exactly what this tool answers. When you select the Banks sector, you see not just which bank stocks are held — but how many of India's 1,100+ fund schemes hold each one. A stock held by 400 funds carries far more institutional confidence than one held by 40. This collective conviction is one of the strongest signals available to any investor — and it is available here, completely free, updated every month.

How Do You Read the Sector Holdings Data?

Each sector page shows the top 20 stocks ranked by fund count — the number of mutual fund schemes holding that stock. Alongside this you will see the average portfolio weight — how much of their total portfolio each fund typically allocates to that stock — and the total MF investment in crores, which shows the combined rupee value invested across all funds holding that stock. Together these three numbers tell you not just who is holding a stock, but how strongly they believe in it. Click any stock name to go deeper — see exactly which funds hold it and in what proportion.
