What is an AMFI Scheme Code?
Every mutual fund scheme registered in India is assigned a unique numeric code by AMFI (Association of Mutual Funds in India). This AMFI scheme code — also called the MFAPI code — is the primary identifier used across all mutual fund transactions, SIP registrations, portfolio trackers, and regulatory filings in India. The complete AMFI scheme code list covers all 16,000+ schemes across equity, debt, hybrid, ETF, and solution-oriented categories.
If you are an investor, you need this code to track your fund on platforms like CAMS or Karvy. If you are an MFD or distributor, you need it for BSE Star MF, MFU, and other transaction platforms. If you are a developer, it is the key to querying NAV data from MFAPI India.
📊 What is AAUM?
AAUM stands for Average Assets Under Management. It is the average of a fund's total AUM across all business days in a quarter. AMFI publishes this every quarter. The mini bar chart shows how a fund's AAUM has moved across the last 4 quarters — a rising bar means growing investor interest, a falling bar signals outflows or market decline.

Where can I find the AMFI scheme code for my mutual fund?
You can search by fund name in the search box above. The 5 or 6 digit number in the Code column is the official AMFI scheme code. You can also find it on your account statement from CAMS or KFintech, or on the AMFI website at amfiindia.com.
What is the difference between AMFI scheme code and ISIN?
The AMFI scheme code is a numeric identifier (5-6 digits) used within India's mutual fund ecosystem for transactions and NAV queries. The ISIN (International Securities Identification Number) is a 12-character alphanumeric code used for dematerialized holding of mutual fund units in demat accounts via NSDL or CDSL. Both refer to the same scheme but are used in different contexts.
Why does each fund have multiple scheme codes?
Each combination of plan (Direct/Regular) and option (Growth/IDCW) gets its own unique scheme code. So a single fund like "HDFC Small Cap Fund" will have at least 4 codes — Direct Growth, Direct IDCW, Regular Growth, and Regular IDCW. For investment purposes, most investors use the Direct Growth variant.
What does AAUM mean and how do I read the bar chart?
AAUM is Average Assets Under Management — the average of a fund's total AUM across all business days in a quarter, published by AMFI. The 4 bars show Q1 (Apr-Jun 2025), Q2 (Jul-Sep 2025), Q3 (Oct-Dec 2025), and Q4 (Jan-Mar 2026). A green rising trend means investors are adding money to the fund. A red falling trend means net outflows or market value decline. The arrow (↑ ↓ →) summarises the overall direction.
How often is this data updated?
We try to update scheme codes and ISIN data every month from AMFI's official SchemeData file. AAUM data is updated quarterly — April, July, October, and January — when AMFI publishes the quarterly AAUM report. The last update date is shown at the top of this page.
